Why I Started MoovWave

Hi, I’m Warren. If we’ve met before, you’ve probably heard people ask me:
“Warren, why did you start MoovWave?”
It honestly came from a simple frustration. I’ve always loved water sports, but normal sunglasses never worked for me. I kept running into the same two problems.
First, they sink. The moment they fall into the sea, it’s game over. I’ve lost way too many pairs during kayaking, wakeboarding, and beach days.
Second, they never fit right. Most sunglasses aren’t designed for Asian face shapes. The nose bridge doesn’t sit properly, the frames press against the cheeks, and they slide around the moment you sweat or move.
So I started thinking:
What if there were sunglasses made for people like us?
Floatable sunglasses that don’t sink. Asian-fit frames that actually stay in place. And a look that still feels clean, modern, and outdoor-friendly.
At the same time, I knew I didn’t want MoovWave to be “just another sunglasses brand.” The ocean means a lot to me. It’s where I reset, recharge, and find clarity. Seeing the amount of plastic waste in the water made me realise how big the problem has become.
That’s why sustainability became part of MoovWave from day one. We chose lightweight wooden frames, recyclable materials, and an eco-friendly direction because small choices stack up over time.
MoovWave is for people who love the outdoors, water sports, and being active. But it’s also for anyone who believes that choosing better, more sustainable gear can make a difference.
Thanks for being part of the journey.
Warren
